3rd Conde Duque Jazz Residency. Category: under 35 years
8:30pm – Conde Duque Contemporary Culture Centre

The young saxophonist Belén Martín makes her debut with her own project during her visit to the Conde Duque Cultural Centre. After completing her Advanced Studies in Jazz Performance and Contemporary Music as a member of the first class at the Higher Centre for Creative Music, Belén kicked off her career as the leader of her own quintet with a repertoire that explored the intersections between the jazz and flamenco traditions, the result of personal research carried out during her years of training and which culminated in her End of Studies Project.

Her music follows the fertile paths that have turned flamenco jazz into a style in its own right in our country, thanks to the great artists that have gone before her. Before that, Belén had collaborated with a wide range of artists such as Chambao, Amparanoia, Ojos de Brujo, Bestiario or the Creativa Big Band.

Belén Martín – Sax
Adrián Alameda – Drums
Javier Santana – Electric bass
Alberto Molina – Piano
Jorge Moreno – Trombone
